MCB and Damstahl have entered into a distribution agreement for the Dutch and Belgian markets for stainless steel bar materials. MCB will distribute Damstahl’s extensive product range with a special focus on stainless steel bars.
Expanded Service Offering Through Strategic Distribution
“This agreement is a major step forward for the customers of Damstahl and MCB. With MCB's distribution capabilities, which include daily deliveries with 130 trucks, the service offering will significantly expand. It is our clear analysis of the market situation that closer collaborations and partnerships are essential to compete and enable us to deliver a quality product on time," says Michael Lund, CEO of Damstahl Group.
"For Damstahl, this marks a 'farewell' to direct invoicing to customers in the Netherlands and Belgium. In the future, our bar materials will be sold via MCB, while our business for tubes, fittings, and flanges will be transferred to our company Delta Inox," Lund adds.
MCB Strengthens Stainless Steel Strategy
From MCB's perspective, the agreement with Damstahl is also a significant step toward becoming a complete one-stop shop in stainless steel. Erik Spikmans, Sales Director at MCB, explains: "Damstahl’s extensive product range is an exciting addition for us. It means a further expansion of our stainless steel bar portfolio with more than 10 stainless steel grades and many new dimensions. Combined with fast and reliable deliveries from Damstahl’s new high-bay warehouse in Langenfeld, we are becoming an even better total supplier for our customers."
For Erik Spikmans, the future lies in strong partnerships that prioritize customer benefits. “For MCB, the agreement with Damstahl also strengthens our sales strategy, inviting other distributors in the market to buy from and sell to MCB," Erik continues. "We see enormous potential in supplying and possibly sourcing from the portfolios of our industry colleagues.”
It is also with great pleasure that MCB and Damstahl announce that Mark Pieron, formerly Country Manager of Damstahl BV, will take on the role of Transition Manager to ensure a smooth transition. He will fulfill this role from MCB Direct in Breda.
The agreement became effective on January 1, 2025.
