This non-alloy engineering steel is ideally suited for use as a heat-treatable steel. Resulting in an optimum combination of yield strength and toughness. Of all the non-alloy heat-treatable steels, this is the most commonly used grade. It is widely used in machine construction and steel construction (in both heat-treated and non heat-treated form).
