Product description

Austenitic stainless steel. This type of stainless steel is widely used due to the combination of a number of extremely favourable properties. After heat treatment, the material offers good formability (bending, deep-drawing, spinning, etc.) This grade of steel is extremely resistant to corrosion in numerous oxidising environments. Due to the higher Ni %, work hardening occurs to a lesser extent compared to 1.4301/1.4307, which makes this grade more easily machinable. This grade offers good weldability, depending on the thickness and welding process. Typical applications include: household appliances, machines in the dairy and food industry.
